Education is the right of every citizen and exposure to quality education has the potential to not only change the lives of people but the trajectory of an entire nation. But not everyone can afford to pursue quality education due to various factors. However, passion and persistence can lead an ordinary man to extraordinary things.

In this Josh Talk, Atharva Puranik shares his journey of coming from a normal middle-class family and building an ed-tech brand worth $1 Million all during the lockdown. Atharva had a decent childhood and was a bright student, like any other middle-class boy Atharva also pursued engineering from a good college but to his dismay, he had to drop out of college due to financial as well as health crises. Atharva was disheartened but not demotivated, he realized the power of quality education and the need for it in India. As he had to drop out,, he knew there must be several other students who has to go through the same fate. To change this narrative and provide quality education to the students of class 10, Atharva started with his YouTube journey There on he took the jump and started his own ed-tech brand Padhle which within a couple of hours had downloads in ten thousand. At a time when ed-tech startups and companies are failing, Padhle is thriving and adding value to students across streams with quality education and tutorial. All these were achieved without any funding and has been raised by Atharva and his co-founder completely bootstrapped, putting in their own money. Atharva's story is indeed a very inspiring one.
