To Make Healthy Chana Dal Sundal you need:
Chana Dal - 1 Cup
Grated Coconut - 1/4 Cup
Green Chilli -2 Nos
Curry Leaves
Oil- 3 Tsp
Urad Dal - 1 Tsp
Red Chillies
Curry Leaves
Asafoetida Powder -1/4 Tsp
Salt to taste
Directions:
1. Soak the chana dal in water for about 1
hour.
2. Take a pot and add water to it. Boil it and add the soaked chana dal.
3. Add salt , turmeric and mix well. Cook until the dal is cooked but not mushy.
4. In the meanwhile, keep removing the froth that is being formed on the water.
5. Once the dal is done, strain the dal and keep it aside.
7. Take oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and urad dal, let them crackle.
8. Add in the red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida powder.
10. Mix well and add the cooked chana dal and coconut.
11. Check for seasoning and add salt as required.
