The DFEH claims Activision Blizzard has shredded documents related to the horrific sexual abuse and harassment claims in their lawsuit against the gaming giant.
California has expanded their lawsuit against Activision Blizzard to also include temporary or contract workers who may have suffered abuse, harassment, or discrimination, and in that same filing, they are now alleging that Activision Blizzard has been shredding important documents related to harassment and abuse claims at the company.
The claims being made against Activision Blizzard are horrific enough on their own, but with their new allegations that the company is destroying evidence that could be used against them, it certainly makes it appear that Activision Blizzard has even more skeletons in their closet they are trying to hide.
Activision Blizzard has just come out with a statement denying the claims, and saying they are fully complying with the lawsuit and investigation. But for California to amend their lawsuit to include these new allegations, it would seem strange to do it without any merit or if Activision Blizzard really was complying. And given that this is the second time the DFEH have called the company out for hindering their investigation, it’s getting harder and harder to give Activision Blizzard the benefit of the doubt.
