The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration observed the black hole at the heart of the nearby radio galaxy Centaurus A. The image reveals how a gigantic jet is being born.The outer edges of the jet seem to emit radiation, which challenges previous theoretical models of jets.
