Through the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was recorded on July 20, 2017. It features Fritz Gluckstein, who was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1927. Fritz was the son of a Christian mother and a Jewish father. In 1943, he and his father were arrested and held at the Rosenstrasse prison with other children and husbands of non-Jewish women. They were released with all the other prisoners following a demonstration by the non-Jewish wives and mothers.
