Valbona went to Germany with her family to start over. When their endeavor did not work out as hoped, the family returned to their country of origin, Kosovo, after one year. There, Valbona attended vocational trainings that helped her to find her footing again in agriculture. Today, she is a successful dairy farmer and is able to offer her children a good life.
Valbona was supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The BMZ supports people in various partner countries in improving their living conditions and enhancing their prospects of remaining in their country of origin, in particular with education, training and job opportunities. This involves offering individual support measures to the local population and to returnees.
