Answering whistle calls, Nile crocodiles gather close to the edge of water to eat at a park in Dubai, giving visitors an inside look into the crocs' natural habitat.
Home to 250 male and female crocodiles from South Africa and Tunisia, the recently-opened park is spread across 20,000 square meters with indoor and outdoor spaces.
"Crocodiles for many years have fascinated people, but in such a way that it is almost a fear. Not much is known by the public in general about crocodiles, and so because the founders are so passionate, they would like to show how amazing and how adaptable and how incredible these animals are," said exhibit curator at the park, Tarryn Clare Abrahams.
Under the Emirate's striking sun, the predators' routine consists of regulating their body temperatures by staying in year-round climate-controlled water or looking for shade, as they wait for their food twice a week.
Other crocodiles stay in an indoor aquarium with visitors having the chance to watch them through its glass.
Since the park opened its doors in April, it welcomed visitors of all ages, with each group receiving a guided tour around the outdoor crocs park, aquarium and museum.
