Manywele and Oloiborr (note spelling with i -- not same as Olobor of BR; and a different Manywele than the Triangle's 5 Inselberg Males from TZ), are a duo from Sopa breakaway pride and their daddies are some old time favorites, ie Orkini, Longo, Benna, Smouldering Eyes.
Look at those elbow tufts on him when walking! They've been in Sand River area a few years now since late 2018 into early 2019. They've managed to kick out Lebahati and Ormawoi, Brown after Scar2 died, and the 2 Tz males who we don't see anymore. These two boys are underrated cos not many updates come from that way...but Sand River is among the most gorgeous rivers ever, nice to place your feet in the cool shallow sandy bottom, no crocs or hippos. It's confusing as people refer to the different prides along the river interchangeably sometimes- lower Black Rock, Sand River, Sala's, Roan Hill, TZ side, pride breakaways of each, etc and could easily ID wrong family group unless we look closely at all the females (which I don't study the lioness IDs much).
This video was taken in Dec2021 but we also saw them again in March 2022 looking great. I hope they can hold on to their territory-- it must be tough to defend those Sand River banks. Taken on safari with Antony of Matira.
