If you've googled "eBay Global Shipping" or "eBay Pitney Bowes", you'll stumble across several negative articles and comments on both the company and the service itself. Even on Pitney Bowes official facebook page, you will see many angry customers complaining about the various problems they face.
I was initially really worried as to my own shipment whether or not it would get here on time and whether or not it will get here in one piece. The answer to both questions is thankfully a "yes". Shipping time was rather quick (a total of 7-8 days after seller ship out from his house) but the main issue is the packaging protection within. In the video you see that there is only one hard Styrofoam piece to "protect" the content. When I first got the box the content inside can move around freely and you can definitely hear it banging against the internal walls of the box should it not be handled with extreme care.
I'm not sure whether the lack of protection inside is due to the seller himself not putting any or if Pitney Bowes did what some people claim they do, repackaging to make sure shipment is as light as possible. I'll have to clarify that with the seller and get back to you whenever possible.
Another thing is that there is no shipping cost or custom value indicated anywhere. Is this common practice? All my past shipments so far whether is it via UPS, FedEx or DHL have values declared on the sticker pasted on the box. This is indeed really weird.
All that said, the contents arrived safely and aren't damaged. That's all I can ask for. If I do make any other purchase through the global shipping program, I will be sure to update my experience again.
