A relative calm held in eastern Bosnia on Wednesday as the peace process gathered pace in the U-S.
Bosnian Moslem refugees returned to territory recently recaptured by the Bosnian government army.
But people in the rebel Serb stronghold of Banja Luka were skeptical about the chances for peace.
After it's recapture by the Bosnian army, Moslem refugees are coming back to their homes in the town of Bosanska Krupa.
As they retreated the Bosnian Serbs damaged the town's bridge over the river Una.
Before it was captured by the Bosnian Serbs in 1992, 40-thousand people lived here, three-quarters of them Moslem.
Thousands of Muslim refugees are expected to arrive here in the next few weeks.
Among those returning are the Kadic family.
They are working on repairing the house they were forced to abandon when the Bosnian Serb Army took Bosanska Krupa three years ago.

There is no greater joy and happiness, but they damaged our home so much. You can go and see how it is inside. Even if it has to be raised to the ground and completely rebuilt, I would still live here.

They are even planning to reopen their family business, the Pizzeria Elvis, which was also heavily damaged.
UNHCR workers in Bosanska Krupa are attempting to restore some utilities to the town's residents.

Well, it depends. We need now the technical details. We can expect that about 45,000 people will return to this city rather soon. There is no electricity, no water, so what we want to do is to provide them with the electricity and water at a basic level.

They say it is a gigantic task as the wells are littered with land mines and the water pumps have been removed.
Residents of Banja Luka are highly skeptical of the prospects of negotiating a unified Bosnia.

You will have big problems convincing these people to form the same Parliament as before the war.
I don't believe in this deal, we would be crazy if we fought and died, we gave so many lives and should accept the unified Bosnia.

Banja Luka is regarded by many as the next town the Bosnian government army may try to recapture from the Bosnian Serbs.
