Alexis Clarke was born prematurely. She weighed 11 ounces and could fit in the palm of your hand. She spent the first eight months of her life in the UC San Diego Health neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). A year later, Alexis is 14 pounds, learning to walk and likes to show off her big smile with two bottom teeth.
