Men & women, as we age, there are changes in
fat cell number
-during childhood & puberty, we make all of our
fat cells and no more afterward [except 15% population]
At 60s, fat cell number starts declining
IF EAT SAME AS BEFORE…
so, if fat cells overfull,
now, numbers go down
NOT LOSING FAT MASS, so remaining
fat cells must take in the FAT!
This puts fat cell in WRONG SITUATION…
