After draining the gearbox to find oil the consistency of a chocolate thickshake, we pull out the gearbox and transfer case unit to diagnose the damage and rebuild it for more adventures on the road.

This is my first complete gearbox rebuild, having only completed gearbox removals and refits in the past as well as clutch changes, this rebuild was a welcomed challenge 😀. With an end date in mind finding parts was easier said than done, we managed to source the cheapest rebuild parts from John Craddock in the UK and with express postage the rebuild was underway.
