The Seal EV starts at $33,140 for the single-motor version and $42,370 for the dual-motor version. For comparison, the Tesla Model 3 in Japan starts at $33,340. The Seal EV features lithium iron phosphate batteries with an 82.56 kWh capacity. It offers a range of 398 miles for the rear-wheel-drive version and 357 miles for the all-wheel-drive version. The single-motor variant accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds, while the dual-motor version does it in 3.8 seconds. BYD aims to have 90 stores in Japan by the end of 2024.
