Are you looking for a simple run and gun set up for filming action? My puny T-rex arms struggle as it is trying to hold the BMPCC4K rig stable and film someone walking, so I've been looking for a light weight solution that delivers good results. I'd been thinking about a SteadXP+, but didn't want to spend the cash to test it. Then I heard about a project on Github called GyroFlow and wanted to see if I could hack together a solution for the BMPCC similar to SteadXP+. I've mounted a Inst360 OneR on top of the BMPCC4k Small rig cage. OneR's built in gyro records any camera shakes.
GyroFlow combines the BMPCC footage and OneR gyro data to stabilize the video. I think both GyroFlow and Danvinci Resolve to an awesome job of making shaky footage watchable. Let me know in the comment below which one you think is better. Would you consider either stabilization option instead of using a gimbal?
