Anti-Racism has become a new buzzword among those looking for more strident ways to push back against racial discrimination and press for racial justice, but it is clear from early evidence that efforts to define and execute so called "anti-racist technology" are already heading off track; some target anti-racist workplace cultures in tech companies, while others focus on diminishing elements of "unconscious bias" within individual employees at tech companies, while others target seemingly random forms of information or seek to correct racially problematic language (like master/slave). I will define and discuss Anti-Racist technology as that which addresses specific, systemic, structural and institutional elements of racism in specific domains of life. I will briefly illustrate this with an example from the domain of housing and mortgage lending in the U.S.
