The 2018 Africa Rugby Gold Cup began on Saturday with two matches. The tournament also doubles up as the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifier. Namibia defeated Uganda 55-6 in Windhoek. It took seven minutes for Namibia to score the first try through right flanker Janco Venter. Namibia then scored a second try through Johann Greyling. The Welwit-schias scored two more tries through Orbet Nortje and Johan Deysel. Uganda scored a penalty for 26-3 at half time. After the restart, Namibia scored five more tries, as the Cranes added another penalty for 55-6 in the end. Zimbabwe and Morocco played out a 23-all draw in the other match played Saturday, as CGTN's Farai Mwakutuya reports.
