There is an ancient and rich culture behind the beautiful art of Arab dance - or belly dance - and one of my absolutely favorite folkloric styles is Saidi.

From upper Egypt, this powerful dance form uses several steps that are not part of the regular belly dance vocabulary, but are a must to include if you are dancing to music that references the rhythm of this style.
