In this video, I'll walk thru installing a 5 node OpenShift Origin (OKD) 3.11 cluster completely from scratch on my Macbook Pro laptop using Centos Linux VMs thru VMWare Fusion. Openshift Origin is the Open Source (i.e. free to install) edition of Red Hat's Openshift Container Platform. Additionally, I run the cluster on Centos which is the Open Source (i.e. free to install) edition of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Edition (RHEL). Using the Open Source Editions allows developers to learn the platform with no licenses cost locally from their laptop. Once users see the value of the Software Defined Cloud Platform, I'm confident they will want to upgrade to the fully supported Enterprise Openshift version as the foundation for their Enterprise Architecture going forward. Happy Computing.
