I know, I know. He's emotionally damaged, sexually assaults Claire, is a bad influence...blah, blah, blah. I get it. But, that's kind of what this video is about. He knows he's broken. And his feelings for Claire terrify him. He doesn't know how to act to get her attention. All he knows is anger, abuse of power and mistrust from his abusive father (and the teachers of Shermer High). He knows he wants to be a part of Claire's world, but he thinks she could never want to be with him because no one has ever treated him like he's worth anything. So, he does the only thing he knows how to do. Put up his tough guy walls, and hide his fear of rejection.
