Throughout its history, Russia has seized foreign lands, colonizing indigenous peoples and destroying their national identity. Then it used these same peoples to seize new territories and enslave others. Today, as in the past, the people enslaved by the Russian Federation - the Buryats - give their lives for the imperial ambitions of the Kremlin, seemingly completely forgetting how several centuries ago the Muscovites similarly murdered their ancestors and took their territories.
