Blackstone, the largest commercial real estate owner in the world, just purchased 40,000 houses across the US Housing Market. They did this by buying Tricon Residential, an existing Wall Street landlord.
The houses that Blackstone purchased are in cities like Atlanta, Tampa, and Phoenix. Particularly in lower-income neighborhoods where the homes are cheaper.
Should the US government put a stop to Wall Street buying up these homes?
