I am very happy to have succeeded in having for japanguitar-handmade.com the master build HD-115 URUSHI SF, S/STD.
The particularity of this model, is to have benefited from the Urushi lacquering by the master Noboru Kobayashi. A technique that only a handful of craftsmen master in Japan and that can only be done under very special conditions: a humidity of 70 to 80% and a temperature of 24 to 28°.
This operation must be done around mid-May when conditions are optimal. This Urushi lacquering technique dates back to the Jomon period ( 700 A.D.) and allows for an incredibly airy sound, which is called "the pure sound of the Urushi" 純音漆 "6 acoustic guitars have been produced in dreadnought and I am pleased to present one of them for sale.
The guitar is of course entirely handmade in Headway's workshops under the guidance of the most famous Japanese luthier, Sensei Momose and it has therefore enjoyed the privilege of an Urushi treatment by master Noboru Kobayashi
