This is the Special Edition Shure SE535LTD-J. This one comes in Red sounds better than the standard Shure SE535 earphones that come in Clear and Bronze. There is another limited edition SE535 that comes in Blue, but I am not sure whether it sounds better than the standard ones.

These aren't available locally in the UK. All of the online sellers on eBay, Amazon and UK based web sites are actually based in Hong Kong. Given the price of this product, I opted to pay just a little more to get it from Japan from a very good and genuine seller.

The cheapest price I've seen these sold for is £309, while the highest price was £612.97 on Amazon.The reason for this difference is the fact that this is a limited edition model that outperforms the base SE535s.

To provide some information for those are unfamiliar with this, Shure is a world renowned company that makes great audiophile grade products. Earphones like these are one of Shure's speciality. When it comes to in-ear-monitors, they blow all but very few of the competition out of the water. All SE535 earphones are driven by 3 balanced armature drivers to deliver exceptional frequency response and accuracy. These are part of Shure's range of Noise Isolating Earphones.

As far as I'm aware, the only other Shure earphone that sounds better than these are the top end Shure SE846 that employs 4 balanced armatures.

The connector type is MMCX (micro-miniature coaxial) which is also used by all the other Shure earphones, Logitech's Ultimate Ears UE900, Westone and many others. It is a very common connector, which leads to the availability of many after-market cables that would significantly enhance the sound qualities of this pair.
