The 4-man soul group, New York City, garnered chart success with their #17 hit, I'm Doing Fine Now, in 1973. The followed it up with 2 more Hot 100 entries; Make Me Twice The Man (1973 - #93) and Quick Fast In A Hurry (1974 - #79). Their 2nd album, Soulful Road, featured the group doing a take of the Beatles' Abbey Road album. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for New York City because the 2 singles released from Soulful Road failed to crack Billboard's Hot 100 chart. This is one of them; the ballad Got to Get You Back In My Life peaked on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart at #105.
