On the last day of January 2022 we transited Panama canal from the Pacific side to the Atlantic side.
We had spent some time in the South Pacific on our monohull so we were not yet ready to head back across in that direction. Although most other vessels in Panama were certainly gearing up to go the 'right' way.
We were ready for an Atlantic ocean adventure! So with Minnie and Pa onboard to help as line handlers and the rest of our experienced crew we took on the canal.
This incredible feat of engineering did no disappoint and inspired awe at every lock. It was a huge day but a successful transit and we hope in sharing this experience you may be encouraged to visit the canal or have more insight into what to expect if you plan to take your own boat through.
