Not all Magnesiums are equal - Know your magnesium before you buy the wrong one!
Magnesium cheat sheet:
Magnesium oxide: Inexpensive, laxative osmotic effect but poorly absorbed.
Magnesium citrate: Jack of all trades - not great for anything, but reasonable absorption and cheap; osmotic laxative effect at higher doses.
Magnesium glycinate: Anti-anxiety and highly absorbed, not much osmotic laxative effective.
Magnesium threonate: Expensive, but best for brain stuff and concussion management.
As always, consult your knowledgeable and experienced healthcare practitioner before taking any supplements. Just because it's "natural" it doesn't necessarily mean it's safe for you.
