These three tips are some of the easiest and quickest things you can do to improve your tapping. I also have a book on tapping which you can check out here: [ Ссылка ]

1. Using a bright sound helps so much with tapping, especially on bass. Because you're often playing many notes simultaneously, it can quickly get muddy if you don't use a bright tone. Best way to achieve this is with new strings but using the knobs on your instrument/amp to boost the highs and cut the lows a little can also help.
2. Having a low action is essential. It's almost impossible to tap well with your strings an inch above the fretboard because it takes so much more force to push them down.
3. I've found that curving my fingers gives me much more control. Everyone's hands are different and some of you might prefer keeping your fingers straight, but the vast majority of the time I've noticed people have more control when they're curved.
