The Turkish Naval Command, Marine Amphibious Brigade has received the first batch of the new Marine Assault Vehicles.
The MAV has higher ballistic and mine protection than its predecessors and is equipped with today's most advanced mission equipment. Dual roles by definition, MAVs offer high performance in both land and water operations. Very few countries have this inventory capability and FNSS is the only supplier in NATO on an operational production line to manufacture this type of vehicle.
The MAV is equipped with a CAKA Remote Controlled Turret with the ability to carry a maximum payload of ready-to-fire bullets and ballistic protection. FNSS CAKA RWS offers more benefits with; light weight, better protection for the shooter, target acquisition, automatic target tracking, stabilization, reliability, accuracy and increased usable internal volume in the vehicle.
MAV has all the features and capabilities of military land vehicles and military ships by balancing the needs of land and sea. The FNSS broke new ground with the MAV, which is the first and only amphibious vehicle in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory capable of self-repair and operating at sea in adverse weather conditions.
