This video takes you through how to setup the FT991A Parametric Equalizer with some of the settings I've in the past. The key points are making sure that you do not overdrive the audio into the radio and setting all the settings. If you are driving the ALC into the red and the Speech Compression COMP is over 10 dB and into the red this will result in distortion. It’s always easier to back off the Mic Gain and the Processor.
The M100 is an excellent Microphone and with the treble boost cowling this makes a big difference in the quality of your audio and the overall average power or loudness.
