The branching pattern of the coronary arteries varies. In right dominance (≈ 2/3rd of the cases), the posterior interventricular artery is derived from the right coronary artery.
In left dominance, the posterior interventricular artery is derived from the left coronary artery.
In codominance, there is a balanced coronary arterial pattern. Branches of both right and left coronary arteries run in or near the posterior interventricular sulcus.
The video also deals with the supply pattern of the AV node and SA and its variation. It also provides an outline of the marginal arteries, the acute marginal artery from the right coronary artery and the obtuse marginal from the circumflex artery.
This video is part of a playlist of short videos which are intended to combine multiple choice questions answering experience with an improved understanding of anatomy.

Considering the descriptive nature of anatomy, and the importance of illustrations in grasping and remembering anatomical relationships, diagrams are added. However, should not be expected to accompany questions in an actual examination setting. In this case, the student should visualize these relations in his/her mind's eye before attempting to answer the question.
