In Iran's presidential race, moderate candidate Masoud Pezeshkian has won the country's run-off vote.
He beat hardline former nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili.
The result was announced by the country's interior ministry on Saturday.
Pezeshkian, who is seen as a centrist, reform-minded candidate, won some 16.4 million votes of around 30 million votes cast, while Jalili received some 13.5 million according to the official count.
Pezeshkian, said on Saturday that his victory will "usher in a new chapter" for the country.
While the position of president in Iran has minimal authority in making policy decisions, the president will be closely involved in selecting the successor to Iran's 85 year-old Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
