Adventures in Producing is a series interviewing great independent film and TV producers across the globe, hosted by film journalist Wendy Mitchell (filmwendy.com). This episode features Rebecca O’Brien, Ken Loach’s longtime producer, who founded Sixteen Films in 2002 alongside Ken and Paul Laverty. Rebecca has produced Ken’s films starting with Hidden Agenda and going on to include Land and Freedom, My Name is Joe, Sweet Sixteen, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Angels’ Share, The Spirit of 45, I, Daniel Blake, Sorry We Missed You and more. She has also worked on non-Loach films like You Were Never Really Here by Lynne Ramsay, Lynn and Lucy by Fyzal Boulifa and up next is Christian Carion's My Son. She’s also very very active in the industry on boards of organizations like PACT and the European Film Academy and the British Screen Advisory Council.
