Mayor Bloomberg visited FDR High School Evacuation Center on Sunday 08/28/2011 to see the Facility and the Great Job all the Volunteers had done to accommodate the Evacuees from Brooklyn's low lying areas.
Mr. Pasquale Alfonso the Evacuation Center Manager along with Other Managers and staff led a team of volunteers to stock food,cots,blankets and hygiene packages and all supplies as well as accommodate the 500 plus evacuees.
Everyone pitched in to help each other without incident even though it's a bit tight with cots side by side everyone was catered to by staff and helped to be comfortable.
