White snow fungus is species of edible fungus commonly used in Chinese soups, stews, and desserts. It comes as a hard, fluffy, round ball of translucent, beige, and white film and requires some preparation before usage. There is a hard center (or middle) where the fungus grows from and it fans out quite beautifully.
