Prayer for the return of fall away Catholics to the Church - we all have family, friends, and acquaintances who are "Fall Away Catholics", "Ex-Catholic", "Former Catholic", "Not Practicing", converts to other heretical religions, etc. it amounts to the same : they have abandoned their faith and need our prayer. I wanted to share this prayer with you so that we can pray for them the reversion of former Catholics together in the hopes that they may feel God's loving presence and return to the Holy Mother Church!
As you say this prayer, keep in mind that there is no point in despairing. Take comfort in our Lord and know that he is patiently waiting, like the Father of the prodigal son, hoping for all of us to find the truth. Offer your frustration to Christ and remember that Saint Monica prayed for years for the return of her son (St. Augustine) to the church ... and when he returned to the Catholic faith he did in a big way. Another tool you might consider is looking into green scapulars. Thank you for joining me in this prayer.
