Conjunctions which are used to join two statements of equal rank or order, is called Coordinating Conjunction.
Four kinds of coordinating conjunctions:
1) Cumulative Conjunctions: The conjunction which is used to join one statement to the other.
Ex:- and, both...and, as well as, no less than, not only...but also
2) Adversative Conjunction:- The conjunction which is used to express an opposition or contrast.
Ex:- but, still, yet, nevertheless, whereas, while, only
3) Disjunctive or Alternative Conjunction:- Conjunctions that express a choice between two Alternatives.
Ex:- or, either...or, neither...nor, otherwise, else.
4) Illative Conjunctions:- Conjunctions that express an inference.
Ex:- for, so, therefore
