With many people chasing massively powerful amplifiers for domestic systems, I thought it might be useful to demonstrate just how loud 1 Watt per channel is when it is pumped into a pair of 87db loudspeakers? In this video you will see how loud the music gets as we reach 1, then 2 and eventually 6 Watts of power into a pair of Sibelius SG loudspeakers. Please note - there is an error in the graphics at 03:33: 5,5V = 4Watts and not 2! Thanks to Claes Jegeras for pointing that out.
