In this video we are going to see how to cook keerai kootu recipes. Here we used Sirukeerai to prepare this recipe. You can also use Mulai keerai, This Keerai Sambar or Keerai kulambu can be made watery and enjoyed with rice or it can be made in a thicker consistency like keerai masiyal and enjoyed with chapathi or roti. Keerai/Spinach is a super food which contains lots of vitamins and minerals.

Keerai (Sirukeerai )
Moong dal - 4 tbsp
Thoor dal – 2 tbsp
Chana dal - 2 tbsp
Small Onion / Shallots - 10 Chopped
Tomato - 1 Chopped
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Curry powder- ½ tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Garlic cloves - 7 Nos
Red Chilli – 2
Urad dhal – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Oil- 2 tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
