Carl Jung: Subconscious Mind, Collective Unconscious, & Archetypes
In this video, I cover the differences between the subconscious mind (the personal unconscious mind) and what Carl Jung posits as the Collective Unconscious mind. We find distinctions in Analytical Psychology that allow us to investigate dreams and their parallels with comparative mythology. This psychology lecture outlines the work of Carl Jung as he presented during the 1935 Tavistock Lectures. We work our way through jungian ideas, including the Archetypes. For Jung, the Archetypes lay at the foundation of the Collective Unconscious and our task is to integrate these unconscious processes into our consciousness. I hope you enjoy this video with lots of interesting psychological content such as dream analysis, mythological motifs, and psychotherapy.
