The Freeman Round House Museum, in collaboration with the NC African American Heritage Commission, has proudly united to pay homage to our town's cherished musicians and educators through a captivating mural set to grace the African American Music Trail of Eastern North Carolina. This stunning artwork, directed by the acclaimed artist Max Dowdle, brings to life the images of Mr. Bill Myers, the Honorable Sallie B. Howard, Mrs. Gloria Burks, and Mr. Sam Lathan. Join us in witnessing the mesmerizing creation process of this mural in a time-lapse. This magnificent piece of art can be found at the eastern edge of Historic Downtown Wilson.
