Hi friends, today, after many requests, we make Persian Dessert! When it comes to Persian dessert, Halva (حلوا) ((Halvah)) might be the most well-known. It is traditionally served at many ceremonies, and it's easy to make with few ingredients. All it needs is some patience.
I usually make mine with less oil/butter, so that it is less greasy. If you want to make it more like you might find served outside of the home, you can increase either slightly.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Cooking Oil (increase for preference)
- 100 Grams Butter (increase for preference)
- 1/4 Cup Rose Water
- 5 Tablespoon Liquid Saffron
- 1/3 Teaspoon Cardimon Seed Powder
- Crushed Pistachios for garnishment
- 1 1/2 Cup Water
