Already a mother of a 10 year old, Mrs. B. Pavani was well on her way to have her second child. Until… she started experiencing severe weakness and evening fevers in her 6th month of pregnancy.
She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, putting herself and her baby in danger. Drawing from her husband as her pillar of strength and the love for her unborn child, she waited till 30 weeks gestation to deliver her baby. Post this, she endured 6 rounds of Chemotherapy.
Mrs. Pavani reminds us of a famous saying by Stephen Hawking which goes “as long as there is life, there is hope”. The power of hope and care from our loved ones can help us overcome life’s greatest obstacles, including cancer.
