Thanks to Taste Hungary for a great food tour during my time in Budapest. I joined the Culinary Walk tour which starts at the Central Market. There we had an assortment of salami, then tasted some pickled vegetables, including mini watermelon. We also tried the traditional Langos, and a shot of Unicum.
We moved on from the Central Market and had some more meats and goulash at a local restaurant, then had some delicious chocolate from a chocolate shop, and visited one of the oldest coffeehouses for some coffee and cakes. Our day ended with wine tasting and some cheese. My favorite was the Tokaji aszú wine which is very important to Hungary.
The food was all so good, and we were all stuffed, don't dare eat before coming on this tour, you'll get more than enough to fill you up and maybe even skip dinner that evening.
Thanks again for the wonderful tour and for introducing me to so many local foods.
