There was a lot of police activity in the area. It was later reported that the police activity was due to a bomb scare. The police car was part of the Explosives Ordinances Division.
The officer driving the cop car was taken to a nearby hospital. It appears everyone else is alright
This is the second stunt accident to happen during filming, the first involved a an extra, driving her own car, the cable snapped. The malfunction of the stunt resulted in the extra suffering severe injuries to the head where the metal sliced her skull. The extra is now suing the studios involved.
