Abaran’s collection ‘Nrityabaran’ is a tribute to the marvellous classical dance forms of India.
The Tandava, a hugely popular dance form, is believed to have been performed by Shiva. Tandava is the dance of passion, anger and intense energy. Tandava performed by Lord Shiva who is also known as "Nataraja", the god of dance. According to Hindu scholars , Tandava has seven variations which Shiva performs in different moods.
The Shiva Tandava Sthotram was written by Ravana ,the asura king and devotee of Shiva. This hymn describes Shiva’s power and beauty.
This presentation of Shiva Tandava stotram in Bharatanatyam style is a devotional and spiritual take on the song.
