Unfortunately, my camera decided to not record any audio for this one video taken while driving. I made my verbal notes as I was driving. Here's what I can recall...
Goofy lift from the back on acceleration. Like an old shaft drive motorcycle. You can see my car lift and also the lead car in some places. Not a terrible thing, just notable.
Has a basic cheap old-style DIN radio installed, LOL. Good though, you can just replace it if desired. Has Bluetooth for media and calls. Overall this is a good thing for this car.
Off the line acceleration is spunky, but it loses power really quickly. 0-30 is fast, 25-50 is not. We didn't get any highway time, and I'm guessing that's because it would expose the low power.
Very vague steering, ultra light, but too light. It has too much power steering. On the first right turn in the video, I was aggressive, and you can see that I turned too much (straightened too late). No real feel for it. The GOOD part though is that it's just easy and light, with a great return to center, and no pull. It will track dead straight, you can see some hands off time. So for the mission of just commuting, it's fine.
The motor has very little regeneration, like they tuned it low. And it creeps at a stop, instead of just sitting still. You have to hold the brake like last century's automatics. Lame!
Braking is fine, not notably bad nor good.
Whine from the inverter is super noticeable, I think I find it bothersome. I didn't run the radio, maybe it would cover it. Not a horrible thing.
Doors on both sides. Feels silly then you realize you can park it against a wall or whatever and get out of the other side. Nice feature.
Mirrors are HUGE, great visibility, easy to adjust. Both mirrors are identical, since you're in the middle of the car. Overall all around visibility is great too.
Seat is comfortable, not special, just alright.
Trunk capacity is ok, basically a shopping cart's worth. Front hood is covering components and safety kit, no space.
It has a KEY. Like, put it in, turn, and then turn it more to "start" it. WTF. Cost saving measure they say. Has a remote fob and alarm.
Zero parking/distance sensors of any kind, but of course you have a backup camera.
Two Prius owners made it a point to wave, one tracked with me and wanted to have a conversation.
A/C is powerful, but gentle. Cool cabin with no drama and no noise.
People were excessively courteous. Curious? Or thinking the car is a handicapped retard kid?
There is no cruise control. Seriously. No cruise. It would just be software. Crazy. Totally a deal-breaker for me.
