University of Arkansas graduate student Mitchell Pruitt holds a northern saw-whet owl which has rarely been seen in Arkansas in the last 50 years.
In the video, Pruitt explains the structure of the owl's feathers, which enables it to fly silently and sneak up on prey.
Pruitt leads a group of U of A researchers and volunteers who have been capturing the tiny owls in Northwest Arkansas to study their migration patterns.
