This is How to Check the Refrigerant Charge on a System Without a TXV that has a Piston/Orifice or Capillary Metering Device in front of the Evaporator Coil.
This is a step by Step Process in detail on how to use the Saturation Temperature on the Gauge Set and the Temperature reading on the Suction line in order to figure out the Superheat needed. You then compare this Actual Superheat to the Superheat needed in order to figure out if you are Low on Refrigerant or Overcharged with Refrigerant.
