It is month 6 of Time to Bloom, and in this lesson, we will show you how to make the exploding star block.
This block may look complicated, but it is not too difficult when you break it down.
There are four techniques that make up this block:
1. A Square in a Square
2. Four at a Time No Waste Flying Geese
3. Rectangles with Stitch and Flip Triangles
4. Quater Log Cabin Blocks

All of these techniques make up the foundation of most quilting block designs; once you learn how simple they are, you will be able to apply them to your patchwork and quilting repertoire.
